Win £2,000 worth of building work for your school

The school with the most winning entries in this year’s Herts Advertiser School Awards will win £2,000 worth of building work courtesy of sponsors Oaklands College.This amazing incentive is sure to up the stakes for the competition, which showcases the very best in our local education system.

Whether recognising pupils who are top of the class academically, sporting heroes or the teacher who is an inspiration to all of their students, the Herts Advertiser School Awards are the chance to give them the recognition they deserve.

Last year’s winner of the £2,000 prize was Sir John Lawes School in Harpenden. Oaklands students finished work on replacing old and outdated toilets and washing facilities for staff and students last week.

The Innovation/Project of the Year category is sponsored by estate agents Collinson Hall of St Albans.Managing director Steve Walker said: “Collinson Hall are very pleased to be sponsoring one of the School Awards again this year. The deadline for entries is 5pm on Friday, June 6 and all nominees will be invited to the gala awards ceremony in the beautiful rounds of Oaklands’ Smallford campus on Tuesday, June 24.
